Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/3 cup of brown sugar
- 1 egg (well beaten)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Cinnamon Topping:
- 3 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Combine all dry ingredients except for the toppings in a bowl
- Stir until combined well
- In the stand mixer, cream the butter and sugar together (Use the paddle attachment for KitchenAid)
- Add the vanilla and egg and mix well
- Add the dry ingredients slowly into the mixer while the mixer is on low
- Keep adding and mixing until the dry ingredients are fully combined
- Combine the toppings into a small bowl and set aside
- Scoop dough into tablespoon sized balls (size can differ)
- Roll the dough balls in the topping mixture and place on parchment lined baking sheet
- Place on a middle or bottom rack in the oven and back for about 8-10 minutes (TIME WILL DIFFER, check with a toothpick or knife. The outside should be crusty and slightly hard and the inside should be slightly gooey. If it is super liquidy, let it bake for longer and check periodically)
- Remove from the oven and cool slightly before serving
